Solar Eclipse Dream 2013

Back on December 20th, 2013, I woke up in the middle of the night sobbing uncontrollably. I had a very real dream, which I believe was a warning from God of things to come.

I was newly married, and we were living in a small cottage. Our friend was letting us stay there temporarily as we were waiting to move to a new apartment.

When I woke up crying uncontrollably, I remember the first words that came out of my mouth to my husband were, “The world as we know it is about to change.”

It’s essential to clarify a few things before I share this:

1) At the time, I had no involvement in any study of end times or anything like that.

2) Due to the date of the dream, none of the so-called “conspiracy theories” were remotely popular.

I was just a newlywed young woman who loved God but was not looking for this type of revelation at all. It took me by surprise.

I would also like to clarify that I believe God speaks to us through dreams, and if we are paying attention, they can be very helpful. Acts 2:17-18 states:

“And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    and your young men shall see visions,
    and your old men shall dream dreams;
even on my male servants and female servants
    in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.”

I have had numerous dreams in which the Lord brought someone or something to my mind for prayer, warning, or even confirmation. These dreams were a real blessing.

The dream I had back in December of 2013 was different. It felt more real. It shook me up, and I still feel the emotions while I am typing this almost 11 years later. I felt like I was there. It felt that real. I had never had a dream like that before, and I’ve never had a dream like that since. It left me in utter shock of what I saw.

The Dream

In this dream, my husband and I were inside the parking garage of the condo we had been living in up until recently, in West Palm Beach Fl when the power went out in the entire area. The parking garage gate to the street and the door to the condo were electronic, which meant we were stuck in the parking garage. The elevator of the building was also not working because of this power outage. The parking garage was secured by iron bars all the way to the ceiling, which meant we could not get out of there. But could see what was going on in the street.

I saw people in the streets rushing to the ATM in the corner in panic to withdraw their cash. There was a long line; people were trying to get their money out before it ran out. Police officers were walking around with flashlights, surveilling the area. Their cars were stopped in the middle of the road, blocking any access. It seemed like there were no cars actually driving, only people on foot at this point.

It was the middle of the day, but suddenly, everything went dark. Everyone stopped what they were doing and started staring at the sun in the dark sky. The sun was dark with a ring of reddish light around it. Then the ring of light around the sun started expanding until the sky turned into a type of TV screen or mirror that reflected what was coming to the Earth.

What I saw “reflected” in the sky was utter destruction. It looked like the remains of a war. It was all rubble. A little girl was walking by herself barefoot, full of dust in her hair, face, and clothes. The ground was covered in debris, grey dust, and trash.

Everyone looking at that “screen” was confused about what they were looking at. I remember looking at them and saying, “Don’t worry, I had a dream about that,” and I was giving them the interpretation of what was happening. I don’t know what I said, but I was explaining it to them. After that, I woke up.

Interpretation

I have only shared this dream with a few people in my life, and I did not know precisely what it meant. However, as I started looking at the images of “solar eclipses” in recent weeks, I realized that is what I saw. I do not have the certainty that it was this exact eclipse, but I believe it was some warning of things to come.

 I don’t want to bring fear through this, but I want to raise awareness that we live in unprecedented times. It is time to take our faith seriously and, if we have not yet, put our trust in Jesus Christ for the salvation of our souls. Let’s make sure we are not living in compromise. It is not too late. There is no hope outside of God.
